YES YES YES! ALL THE YES! This has rocketed up my list of top anticipated upcoming films. This trailer, for me, was perfect. It made me want to immediately rewatch the original, which I feel is one of the best 100 films ever made, and made me even more excited for a film that I was hesitant to check out. So many sequels for older films have been incredibly disappointing or unnecessary, but this looks phenomenal, even if it hits several familiar beats. Check it out:
From the music to Robert Carlyle’s raging Begbie to Boyle’s signature style, this trailer showed to me that this film has the potential to be a sequel to a classic that deserves to be seen.
